Accidents at work
Industrial injuries -
Using machinery or lifting vehicles
Many thousands of people are injured in the workplace every day.
Despite huge strides made during the last few decades in improving
safety, accidents at work are all too common.
Here we cover some examples of accidents at work for which you may
be able to claim compensation.

Accidents involving machines or vehicles
Using cranes, lifting machinery, hoists etc. can be dangerous both
for the operator and any fellow workers in the vicinity.
Employers are legally obliged to provide safe equipment, machinery
and plant along with adequately trained co-workers. If you are using
a machine you should be trained and qualified to do so.
Crane operators for example have a duty to ensure that the
maximum load has not been exceeded and that the load is secure. They
must at all times be aware of co-workers around them.
If
you suffer an accident at work caused by a crane operator or fellow
workers negligence you may be entitled to compensation.
Forklift accidents are responsible for a significant number of
casualties in the workplace. Poor training, poor warehouse or
factory layouts and excessive or unsteady loading all contribute to
the number of accidents at work.
Again if you have suffered an industrial injury as a result of such an accident
at work
you may be entitled to compensation.
