Whiplash diagnosis and treatment
If
you have suffered a whiplash injury in an accident - how do you
obtain a diagnosis and the necessary treatment to help your
recovery?

whiplash compensation procedures
If
your personal injury was sustained in an accident and you have the
right to claim compensation there are many benefits that can help
your situation.
Firstly The Claims Connection provide all our claimants with a
medical opinion on their condition. Usually the opinion will follow
a detailed examination with our medico-legal doctors or orthopaedic
consultants.
The
doctor will be asked to provide a diagnosis and discuss the
prognosis (recovery prospects and forecast) of your whiplash injury
along with treatment and medication needs.
If
physiotherapy is recommended then in many cases we can arrange this
free of charge with the responsible parties insurers (this usually
follows only after an admission of liability)
Medication may be recommended - usually this will take the form of
anti-inflammatory drugs, muscle relaxants or pain killers.
Where symptoms are prolonged, further investigations may be
necessary involving X rays, or MRI scans. Usually a follow up
medical examination will be arranged in order to allow the doctor an
opportunity to update and review the prognosis.
